If you go into the woods Today…
The brief ~ a pretty, but not too girly room with a touch of ‘woodland’. Mum and Dad were happy to spend a little more on a couple of key pieces that Alaia would be able to keep as she grew {hello eggcup stool by Mark Tuckey & oh so gorgeous Puku Ottoman … swoon swoon}.
The ever so clever Ava Cot from Plyroom was an easy choice. Not only does it look amazing, but it has more than one purpose! Cot, Toddler bed (as shown in design board)…
…and when it’s time to upgrade to the big bed, flip her over and enjoy as a desk (a good looking one at that!)
Of course for a more realistic woodland feel, you could get hold of some stumps and paint the tops – they look great, but one word comes to mind ‘splinter!’. Give me a Mark Tuckey any day!!
I fell in love with this gorgeous Woodland Wall bear from Down that Little Lane. He is available in several colours, but the ash timber grain was exactly what we wanted for Alaia.
If you are wanting to give your little one’s space a touch of woodland, there is always the stunning range of wall decals by Love Mae.
Finish the room with some sweet accessories like these sweet arrows from Mineral and Matter on Etsy.
I hope you love your little space Alaia ~ I know I would!
